Total gas reserves in the EU continue to reach historic highs, exceeding 98.6% for the first time. LNG supplies to the region have increased slightly, reported from TASS.

Gas on the stock exchange in Europe is traded at about $530 per 1 thousand cubic meters.

Gazprom supplies gas to Europe in transit through Ukraine in the amount of 42.4 million cubic meters per day through the gas measuring station Sudzha.

The day before, the volume of pumping amounted to 42.3 million cubic meters.

Gas withdrawals from underground storage facilities (UGS) in EU countries on October 23, according to Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE), amounted to 41 million cubic meters. At the same time, injection amounted to 99 million cubic meters.

Currently, European UGS facilities are 98.63% full (8.7 percentage points higher than the average for this date over the past five years), they contain 108.61 billion cubic meters of gas, which is the historical maximum of gas reserves in the EU. European countries filled their underground storage facilities with gas to the target of 90% for the heating season back in mid-August. Previously, the European Commission expected to achieve such indicators only by November.
