The EU regrets that the Georgian authorities have decided to resume flights with Russia, which raises fears for Georgia’s European path, official representative of the EU Foreign Service Peter Stano said in Brussels.

"We have taken note of the relevant decisions. We regret the decision of Georgia to resume flights to and from Russia after the decision of the Russian Federation to lift the ban on air travel… The EU and a number of partners have imposed sanctions against the aviation sector of the Russian Federation, we do not allow flights to/from and over Russia. The last decision of the Georgian authorities raises fears for the European path of Georgia,” he said.
