EU to allocate tranche of over €4B to Ukraine

European Union’s ambassadors have agreed on the allocation of a €4.2 billion tranche to Ukraine, according to the EU Council, reported from TASS.

"The EU ambassadors approved the allocation of a tranche of approximately €4.2 billion from the support fund to Ukraine. The next step will be the approval of this decision by the EU Council according to the written procedure," the statement said.

According to the written procedure, the EU Council approves decisions that are not intended for discussion.
