Exhibition on Khojaly genocide opened at Turkish Parliament

An item and photo exhibition titled "Genocide of Three Generations” has been opened in Ankara at the Mustafa Necati Cultural House under the auspices of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, after Istanbul, Brussels and The Hague.

The opening of the exhibition, organized by the Turkey-Azerbaijan Association (TURKAZDER) under the support of the Turkish Centre for International Relations & Strategic Analysis (TURKSAM) and the NGO Support Council under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was attended by Turkish and Azerbaijani representatives as well as some officials, the State Committee on Work with Diaspora told APA.
 
Deputy Chairman of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Meral Aksener, Head of the Turkey-Azerbaijan interparliamentary friendship group Necdet Unuvar, MPs Sinan Ogan, Hasan Huseyin Turkoglu, Azerbaijani MP Elman Mammadov, representatives of the Azerbaijani embassy in Turkey, head of the Turkey-Azerbaijan Association Enver Turkoglu, Turkey’s several trade unions, NGO representatives as well as eyewitnesses of the Khojaly genocide were present at the opening ceremony.
 
After the speech of N. Unuvar, who noted Turkey’s sensitivity about the Khojaly tragedy and spoke about his activity regarding Khojaly within the parliament, Deputy Chairman of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Meral Aksener, S. Ogan and E. Mammadov cut the black ribbon to open the exhibition. 
 
After the opening, TURKSAM representatives thoroughly informed the guests about the Khojaly Genocide. The MPs signed the memory book "Genocide of Three Generations”. The visitors welcomed the books "Genocide of Three Generations” in Turkish and English.
