Bleeding from wounds on their backs, these bulls were fought and killed in an event in Medellin, Colombia, on Saturday which saw several South American matadors enter the ring.
Colombian bullfighter Juan De Castilla was so successful in his defeating of the bull that the judge rewarded him with the second highest accolade in bullfighting - the two ears of the defeated bull, which are sometimes cut off while the animal is still alive.
Winner de Castilla is well known in Colombia, and after three years of studying the 'art' in its native Spain, he has been named 'the strongest promise of Colombian bullfight'.
Although many argue that bullfighting is a brutal bloodsport, bordering on animal cruelty and torture, its fans call it an artform.
These images emerge just weeks after a mob killed a bull with machetes, rocks, knives and sticks during a bullchasing festival in a northern Colombia.
