The Frenchcity of Mulhouse and Azerbaijan’s central town of Yevlax have signed afriendship agreement, state news agency Azartac reported.
Speakingat the signing ceremony in France, Mulhouse Mayor Jean Rottner describedthe agreement as “a strong sign of developing cooperation between the twocities”. He expressed the hope that the agreement will contribute to the strengtheningof relations between Mulhouse and Yevlax, particularly in the fields of economy,tourism, culture and education.

“Last yearthe Heydar Aliyev Foundation held two events in Mulhouse. A conference marking the 900th anniversary ofgreat Azerbaijani poetess Mahsati Ganjavi was organized at Mulhouse Universityon June 20,” he said.
Samadovhailed the friendship agreement, saying “it is the beginning of friendship andcooperation between the two cities”.
