Gas prices in Europe fall 2.6%

Exchange gas prices in Europe on September 23 fell by less than 3% and are still below $1,900 per 1,000 cubic meters, reported from the London Stock Exchange ICE.

October futures (according to the index of the largest European hub TTF) opened trading at $1,910.9 per 1,000 cubic meters (-0.4%). Quotes then amounted to $1,869.7 (-2.6%). The dynamics of the cost is based on the estimated price on September 22 - $1,919 per 1,000 cubic meters.

The average monthly settlement price of gas in Europe has been growing for the fourth month. The indicator in May was $1,030, in June it was almost $1,180 (+14.6% on a monthly basis), and in July it was about $1,805 (+53%). Already in August, the figure slightly exceeded $2,450 (+35.7%). On August 26, the estimated price even reached a record $3,507 per 1,000 cubic meters.
