Gasoline prices won't be cut in Azerbaijan: Socar

Gasoline prices in Azerbaijan do not depend on oil prices on the world markets, said Rovnaq Abdullayev, president of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (Socar).

Azerbaijan's gasoline prices are set by the Tariff Council on the basis of the state of the overall economy and average prices, Abdullayev said.

A liter of 92 octane gasoline is offered for 40 cents in Azerbaijan, and it is cheaper than in the US, he said.
