Get ready, it’s soon going to be colder than Iceland

Wrap up warm – it’s set to get colder than Iceland in the coming days.Temperatures are set to plummet and  remain low for some time, forecasters say.Snow is likely for most of the country, coupled with biting gale force winds coming in from the north.Parts of Scotland will see night-time temperatures dip to -2C over the next couple of days, five degrees colder than the 3C forecast for Reykjavik, capital of Iceland.London is also expected to be colder with lows of just zero degrees forecast. Yesterday, commuters making their way into the capital from Kent on Southeastern suffered delays because of leaves and ice on the tracks. A message on Twitter from Southeastern said: ‘The poor rail conditions are due to leaf fall and ice on the tracks.’Manchester will be the coldest city later in the week, when the mercury is tipped to  dip to -2C tomorrow and -3C on Saturday. Laura Young, at the Met Office, said: ‘We have gone from temperatures for this time of year being one degree above average to suddenly being one to two degrees below and that has come as a shock to the system.’Despite the forecast for brighter weather this weekend, those planning on venturing outside will still need to wrap up warm  as temperatures will struggle to reach the November averages of 10C.Ms Young said it was too soon to say if we would be see a white Christmas.(metro.co.uk)ANN.Az
