The U.S. Dow Jones stock index fell by 0.08% to 24,893.35 points, S&P 500 by 0.50% to 2,681.66 points and NASDAQ by 0.90% to 7,051.98 points.
 
In the European stock markets, FTSE 100 index increased by 1.93% to 7,279.42 points, Germany’s DAX by 1.60% to 12,590.43, French CAC 40 by 1.82% to 5,255.90, APA-Economics reported.
 
At the latest COMEX auctions, gold prices descended $1.20 to $1,313.40 an ounce and silver prices decreased by $0.01 to $16.23.
