The U.S. Dow Jones stock index decreased by 0.72% to 24,834.41 points, S&P 500 fell by 0.31% to 2,724.44 points and NASDAQ went down by 0.21% to 7,378.46 points.
 
In the European stock markets, FTSE 100 index ascended by 0.23% to 7,877.45 points, French CAC 40 increased by 0.05% to 5,640.10 and Germany’s DAX descended 0.71% to 13,169.92, , APA-Economics reported.
 
At the latest COMEX auctions, gold prices descended $0.30 to $1,291.70 an ounce and silver prices slipped $0.01 to $16.57.
