The U.S. Dow Jones stock index rose by 0.16% to 24,640.45 points, S&P 500 by 0.26% to 2,662.94 points and NASDAQ by 0.45% to 7,013.51 points.
 
In the European stock markets, FTSE 100 index decreased by 0.13% to 7,168.01 points, Germany’s DAX by 0.70% to 12,196.50, French CAC 40 by 0.60% to 5,109.24, APA-Economics reported.
 
At the latest COMEX auctions, gold prices ascended $6.40 to $1,336.80 an ounce and silver price increased by $0.07 to $16.60.
