The U.S. Dow Jones stock index slid 0.12 % to 17,556.41 points, S&P 500 went down 0.27% to 2,041.99 points and the NASDAQ decreased by 0.36% to 4,833.40 points.

In European stock markets, FTSE 100 index descended by 0.07% to 6,200.12 points, French CAC-40 grew by 0.22% to 4,312.63 and Germany’s DAX went up 0.63% to 9,682.99.

At the latest COMEX auctions, gold price dropped $2.10 to $1,255.90 an ounce, and silver price slipped $0.13 to $15.85.
