Harutyunyan exposes Pashinyan's lie in Baku Court

Arayik Harutyunyan, who is accused of committing numerous crimes during Armenia's military aggression, has refuted the claims spread in Armenian media about psychological pressure and administration of psychotropic drugs to defendants in the current criminal.

According to the information, Harutyunyan made the remark during the February 6 court hearing on criminal cases against persons of Armenian origin accused of committing numerous crimes against the Azerbaijani people.

"We have had opportunities to receive information and express our protest in detention. Also, our detention conditions are constantly discussed in Armenian and other media outlets. As I understand, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia (Pashinyan) has stated that there are claims about psychological pressure against us and the use of psychotropic drugs.

I am most worried about our relatives and loved ones. I want to declare that I am familiar with the law regarding detention conditions. All laws are followed in the detention center, and the International Committee of the Red Cross visits us periodically. We have opportunities for phone calls with our family members. Our treatment in detention is provided in accordance with law and we are treated in compliance with legal protocols. Investigators also ensured our rights during the investigation process. Lawyers have always participated in the investigation. I especially want to note that there has been no pressure against us. During the investigation, we were always treated within the framework of the law. Thank you," Harutyunyan stated.
