Shocked motorist films 'aliens' in Manchester

Sophie Birch, 23, ordered her partner to pull over as soon as she saw the mysterious black object.
She said: "We were driving along and suddenly we spotted it.
"We just couldn't believe it – at first I thought it was a plane or something but it just wasn't moving, it was hovering.
"My boyfriend was driving and he slammed on his brakes, then we pulled over so we could both see it better."
The grainy footage shows the object with dark grey trails streaming behind it hovering in the sky above Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester.
In the video the couple have a conversation where they try to work out what it is they are seeing.
Sophie, a PA, said: "It was so unusual.
"We kept watching it for quite a while and there's no simple explanation as to what it is.
"I think it could be aliens – my sister said it was.
"You can see on the video it's a black ship with something coming out of the back.
"At one point we saw a flock of birds flying suddenly away from it like they were scared."
