The Hungarian government submitted to parliament a bill to ratify the document on Sweden's admission to NATO in the summer of 2022, but MPs postponed a decision on this issue due to "unfriendly statements by Swedish politicians towards Hungary.” The document was discussed in committees and was formally included in the parliament’s work program in 2023.
