Hungary offers Budapest as venue for Azerbaijan-Armenia peace deal signing

The Hungarian capital, Budapest, could serve as the location for the signing of a peace agreement between Baku and Yerevan, according to Péter Szijjártó, Hungary's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade. 
According to the information , speaking at the Yerevan Dialogue forum today, Szijjártó emphasized the importance of achieving peace in the South Caucasus region.

"During my recent negotiations with both sides, the option of Budapest serving as the venue for signing the peace agreement was also considered," Szijjártó stated. "Signing a peace agreement in the peaceful capital of a peaceful country with a peaceful people – I think this is an important assistance we could provide."

The diplomat underscored the significance of attaining peace in the South Caucasus, stressing that the residents of the region "have the right to a safe and peaceful life in their own homes."
