Hungary's MOL Group has expressed interested in developing fields in Azerbaijan's section of the Caspian Sea, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said on Tuesday in Baku during the sixth meeting of the Azerbaijan-Hungary Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.

"Energy cooperation between our countries is developing successfully. We highly value the fact that Azerbaijan has become one of the guarantors of Europe's energy security. Cooperation in the sphere of energy will continue. Hungary's MOL will study the possibility of developing fields in Azerbaijan's section of the Caspian," Szijjarto said.

"The company has still not announced interest in any kind of specific fields. Negotiations with them will continue," he said, in response to a question by an Interfax correspondent.
