Wizz Air, a low-cost airline company based in Budapest, will soon resume flights between the Hungarian and Azerbaijani capitals, Trend news agency reported.
Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Shahin Mustafayev said President Ilham Aliyev had told the country’s airline authorities to allow Wizz Air to resume flights.
An Azerbaijani delegation led by Mustafayev is in Budapest for talks with Hungarian officials.
Wizz Air’s suspension of flights between Baku and Budapest prompted anger among Azerbaijanis, who used social media to accuse Azerbaijan Airlines (Azal) of kicking out the budget airliner.
