A formerly obese woman has opened up about how she lost 145lbs thanks to discounted fitness classes she bought on Living Social.

Norfolk, Virginia resident Torrie Creamer had struggled with her weight her whole life, piling on the pounds during her three pregnancies until she reached an unhealthy 322lbs in 2011.But then she stumbled upon a Living Social coupon offering four weeks of boot camp classes for $25, and when she purchased it, she embarked on a life-changing weight loss journey. The five-foot-eleven brunette told CNN.com that it was a comment from her six-year-old son that prompted her to take control of her body weight issues. When the boy asked her why she was fat, she told him it was because she had 'three kids that were huge and stretched mommy's belly out.'But when he responded: 'You don't have any babies inside you now so why are you still fat?' Mrs Creamer had an epiphany. 'I was looking at myself through an innocent six-year-old child's eyes,' she said. 'Why was I fat? There was absolutely no excuse.'It was then that she knew she had to change her lifestyle, and the Living Social e-mail came at just the right time.On her first day of Bootcamp for Women - Body by Ken, the mother-of-three struggled; she fell down at one point and needed three male trainers just to help her get up again. But despite the physical hardship and humiliation, she kept going to every single class over the next four weeks. 'I was always the last runner in, or in my case, the last walker in,' she admitted.'I could not do push-ups. I could not finish a routine without feeling like I was dying and about to vomit. But somehow I made it there.'The classes involved running on the beach, high-intensity intervals and body weight exercises. She lost 15lbs in four weeks, but when she was laid off from her job shortly thereafter, she told trainer Ken Williams she couldn't afford to go anymore. But that's when her new friends stepped in to help Mrs Creamer achieve her goals; a woman from the boot camp group called her to tell her they had banded together to pay her fees for her.'I sat on my porch thinking to myself, "These people don't know me." At that moment I made the promise to myself. . . if these people were not letting me fail, then how can I let myself fail?' she said.So she continued going to the boot camp classes, always 'giving 110per cent', according to Mr Williams. She also modified her diet; instead of her nightly bowl of ice cream, Mrs Creamer would snack on a protein shake after dinner, and she cut out fried foods for lean meats, vegetables, yogurt and nuts.Today, she is 145lbs lighter and infinitely happier. What's more, instead of sitting on the couch at home after a workday of sitting at a desk, she now has the energy to actively play with her kids. And her trainer says it's her positive attitude that has helped her come so far. 'When you put that in your head, when you put that in your mind, when you have that attitude - you can't help but be successful,' he said.(dailymail.co.uk)ANN.Az
