The International Monetary Fund said Azerbaijan's gross domestic product will exceed the “grand master” level of $100 billion only in 2017.
In its World Economic Outlook (WEO) for 2014, IMF said it expects Azerbaijan’s GDP at 61.638 billion manat ($79.363 billion) this year, 67.473 billion manat ($87.763 billion) in 2015, and 72.707 billion manat ($94.571 billion) in 2016.
In 2017, the economy will grow to AZN 79.772 bn/$103.760 bn, in 2018 it will increase up to AZN 86.129 bn/$112.029 bn and in 2019 it will make AZN 93.870 bn/ $122.098 bn.
GDP per capita will grow in accordance with the same scheme: in 2017 it will exceed $10,000 for the first time and make $10,796. In 2018 it will increase up to $11,564 and in 2019 will reach $12,504.
