Colonel Meow’s following of ‘slave-beasts’ and ‘minions’ around the world will be in a state of mourning today following the news of his death.

The mischievous cat had become somewhat of a cult figure with his devious online persona and plans for world domination.But sadly the owners of the cat with the longest hair in the world announced last night that he had passed away at just two years of age.His owner, Anne Marie Avey, broke the news to his 350,000 Facebook followers: ‘Colonel Meow passed away yesterday evening. I will post more about the details when I’ve had a few days to grieve.‘Thank you so much for your understanding, Minions. Your love and support has meant the world to us both,’ she added.Colonel Meow had been adopted by Miss Avey after he was found at the side of the road in Seattle and went on to become the star of his own Facebook page, YouTube channel and Twitter account.Sadly, he had been suffering from poor health over the last few weeks and multiple operations from vets were not enough to save him.(metro.co.uk)ANN.Az
