Iran and Azerbaijan begin cooperation in the field of information

The Minister of Communications of Azerbaijan Ali Abbasov received the head of the Agency for Radio and Television of Iran Izzatullah Zarghami,

During the talks they discussed the development of the sphere of radio and television of the two countries and their role in the exchange of information.

Abbasov proposed the establishment of a joint commission for "regulation of media of the two countries." According to him, the relevant work in this direction has already started and the sides are negotiating with broadcasting entities. Saying this, he did not specify the entities.

Next Abbasov said that a few years ago on TV in both countries "annoying" programs could be seen, which now no longer exist.

In turn, Zarghami said that there is "a serious need to study the activity of the media." He called for the preparation of joint programs and projects in this field. As for the future of the joint commission, it must also embrace Internet resources, said Zarghami.

Further, the parties discussed the details of the future joint commission.

Today Zarghami was received by the department head of the Presidential Administration Ali Hasanov. According to Azertaj, at the meeting they discussed the implementation of joint projects in the sphere of information.
