Tehran will create a gas hub in the Persian Gulf with the participation of Russia, Turkmenistan and Qatar. It will be created in the industrial region of Asaluyeh (Bushehr province), located on the shores of the Persian Gulf, Iranian Oil Minister Javad Owji said, reported from ISNA.

According to Javad Owji, having 33 trillion cubic meters of recoverable gas reserves, Iran ranks second in the world: "We are striving with the assistance of Russia, Turkmenistan and Qatar to turn the Persian Gulf and Asaluyeh into a gas hub," he said.

At the same time, the minister did not disclose the details of the project, noting only that the necessary preparations are underway and a plan for the implementation of the program is being drawn up.
