Iran to launch Azeri-language TV channel

Principal agreement on the opening of an Azerbaijani-language TV channel in Iran has been reached, Iranian ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohsen Pakayin said in an interview with Jamejam. 

According to him, this demonstrates the importance attached to the Azerbaijani language in Iran. He said that a relevant agreement was reached during the recent visit to Baku by the head of the Iranian agency for radio and television, Izatulla Zarghami.
