Because as deadly as the explosive weapon is, it won't hurt anyone but its owner if fired at a wall just a few feet away.

Yet this alleged Islamic State fighter, reportedly firing through a hole from a previous blast, decided it was worth the risk.

And the consequences are all too predictable.

Footage shows the jihadi addressing the camera as he poses with the weapon.

Then balancing the blaster on his shoulder, the black-clad fighter gets into position.

He takes him time – clearly understanding that bad aim will bring the house down around him.

Yet that's exactly what he does, with the grainy footage ending in a cloud of dust and debris after he fires.

Others have suggested that the weapon is faulty and blew up in his hands.

Further information on the footage is hard to come by, but it was reportedly shot in the Iraqi city of Samarra.

It was uploaded to video sharing site LiveLeak yesterday, where it has been watched 177,000 times.

Parliament will today vote on whether or not to extend airstrikes against ISIS, currently only allowed in Iraq, into Syria.

The vote comes as the crumbling terror group announced it would move its headquarters from the blitzed Syrian city of Raqqa to Libya.
