Israel may withdraw its troops from the main cities of the Gaza Strip as part of a potential deal with the radical Palestinian movement Hamas, Al Arabiya TV said, reported from TASS.

"There is agreement on the details of the first phase of a new deal to exchange [hostages and prisoners] between Hamas and Israel," Al Arabiya said. "Under the terms of the potential deal, Israel would withdraw [troops] from the cities of the Gaza Strip and station them at border points," it added.

According to Al Arabiya's source, if an agreement is reached, Hamas will release one Israeli hostage every day in exchange for 30 Palestinians held in prisons of the Jewish state. The third phase of the deal will include the release of Israeli officers captured by Hamas.
