06.09.2024 16:30
Foreign ministers of Israel and Germany Israel Katz and Annalena Baerbock have discussed countering Iran and fighting terrorism in Jerusalem, according to the information from statement by the Israeli Foreign Ministry.

Following the meeting, Katz noted that he informed Baerbock about the stated intentions of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei "to arm terrorists in Judea and Samaria (the Israeli designation for the West Bank of the Jordan River) just as the Iranian side armed Gaza."

He noted that the origins of terrorism are in Iran, and it threatens not only Israel, but also Europe and the entire world.

Katz also thanked Baerbock for the activity of German security forces in preventing the attempted terror attack in Munich.
