Israel’s Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman will visit Azerbaijan on April 30, Vestnik Kavkaza reported, citing a source at the Israeli Foreign Ministry.
Lieberman is expected to meet President Ilham Aliyev and other senior Azeri officials in the capital, Baku.
Issues on the agenda will include cooperation in the areas of the defense industry, high technologies, healthcare and agriculture, according to the report.
This comes after last week’s high-level talks between Azerbaijan and Iran.
President Aliyev visited Tehran on April 9 for the first time in five years and met Iran’s Supreme Leader Seyyed Ali Khamenei and President Hassan Rouhani.
The two countries signed four economic cooperation agreements and promised to expand ties in the military and energy fields.
