Jennifer Lawrence isn't shying away from grand public appearances...

Fans will no doubt have the opportunity to gaze upon a fully clothed Jennifer Lawrence before 2015.

But rest assured the nude photo hacking scandal, which saw a number of indecent images of the actress surface online recently, hasn’t put her off making grand public appearances. The Hunger Games actress is set to co-host the biggest fashion event of the year – the Met Gala Ball – in New York, the Metropolitan Museum of Art has confirmed. The event will take place on 4 May 2015, and will see Lawrence co-chair the annual Ball alongside US Vogue editor Anna Wintour, Wendi Deng Murdoch (steely businesswoman and Rupert Murdoch’s ex-wife), Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer and Chinese actress Gong Li."Chinese Whispers will primarily examine how eastward-looking Westerners have understood, misunderstood and appropriated Chinese culture in an exchange that Bolton [Andrew, curator in the museum's Costume Institute] likens to a complicated game of telephone (which the British call 'Chinese whispers')," a Vogue description of the event reads. The 2014 event was co-chaired by Sarah Jessica Parker and Bradley Cooper.Lawrence will once again appear opposite her Silver Linings Playbook co-star Bradley Cooper in new film Serena, which will be released on 24 October in the UK.Over 100 household names were the target of online thieves, who stole scores of naked photographs and intimate videos and posted them on the website 4Chan, two weeks ago.Several of the images – in particular, two of Lawrence – quickly circulated on Twitter.Among others the list included Ariana Grande, Jessica Brown Findlay, Mary E Winstead, Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Mary Kate Olsen, Mary E Winstead, Cara Delevingne, Kate Bosworth, Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Kate Upton, Kirsten Dunst and Kaley Cuoco. The FBI and Apple are both conducting investigations into the apparent widespread invasion of personal accounts thought to be connected to the iCloud service.A spokesperson for Lawrence said: "This is a flagrant violation of privacy. The authorities have been contacted and will prosecute anyone who posts the stolen photos of Jennifer Lawrence."Justice and Grande said that the pictures are fake, although Lawrence’s spokesperson verified the mages of the actress were authentic.Meanwhile, representatives for Upton said they were "looking into" the authenticity of the indecent images.Ricky Gervais went on a back tracking spree on the social media site after he was criticised for 'victim blaming', while Emma Watson also took to Twitter to voice her condemnation of the breach.(independent.co.uk)Bakudaily.Az
