Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkmenistan to create joint venture to develop transportation

The Kazakh transport and logistics company KTZ Express, RZD Logistics JSC, and JSC Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan signed a memorandum on the establishment of a joint venture for the development of transportation, the national company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (Kazakhstan Railways) said, reported from TASS.

"Within the framework of the 27th international exhibition of transport and logistics services TransRussia 2023, a memorandum was signed between JSC KTZ Express, JSC RZD Logistics and JSC Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan on the creation of a joint venture for the development of transportation. The purpose of the joint venture will be the creation of a single logistics operator on the eastern route of the international transport corridor ‘North-South,’” the company said.

The memorandum was signed by Kairat Utyapov, General Director of KTZ Express JSC, Dmitry Murev, General Director of RZD Logistics JSC, and Merdan Byashimov, General Director of Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan JSC.

"The parties agreed to combine their capabilities to form competitive tariff rates and ‘seamless’ transportation of goods from Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkmenistan to Iran, India, the countries of the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region with the participation of border crossings Aksarayskaya, Ozinki, Bolashak, Inche-Burun, Serakhs," Kazakhstan Railways said.
