07.06.2023 12:30
Pope Francis' envoy, cardinal Matteo Juppi has got Kremlin's consent for visiting Moscow, reported from Corrier della Sera.

Archbishop Paolo Pezzi, President of the Conference of Catholic Bishops of the Russian Federation, said he does not know the date of the visit.

According to him, he recently read negative statements of both Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the Kremlin regarding possible mediation.

That the Papal envoy visited Ukraine and got Kremlin's consent for his visit to Moscow is a sign which should not be underestimated," he said.

According to the archbishop, the visit can pave the way for the resumption of a dialogue for holding a meeting between Pope Francis and and Patriarch Kirill.
