Chinese and Korean tourists choose this hotel most often in Azerbaijan

More than 4,400 tourists stayed at the El Resort hotel in Azerbaijan’s Gakh district from January to May 2025, the hotel’s manager Orkhan Hasanov told anews.az.

“Gakh, as a tourist destination, tends to attract more foreign visitors. In the past five months, the majority of our guests were from China and South Korea. Local tourists were relatively fewer,” Hasanov said.

Room rates at the hotel range between 150 and 250 manats, depending on the season, he added. Monthly operating expenses are estimated at around 140,000 manats.

“Hotel management must account for seasonal fluctuations. It’s essential to plan income and expenditures carefully throughout the year. Demand peaks during holidays and the summer break,” Hasanov noted.

The hotel does not currently have an official star rating but offers modern infrastructure along with extensive sports and entertainment facilities.

According to Booking.com, El Resort has a rating of 8.1 out of 10. Guest reviews highlight the hospitality of the staff, spacious rooms with mountain views, quality breakfasts, cleanliness, and the peaceful mountain environment.
