International team uncovers ancient burial artifacts in Azerbaijan’s Yardymli district

An international archaeological team has discovered ancient burial artifacts during excavations in the historic settlement of Bilya, located in the village of Urakaran in Azerbaijan’s Yardymli district.
The Azerbaijan–U.S. expedition unearthed stone box-shaped tombs, clay jars, and earthen graves.
The excavations are being led by Jeyhun Eminli, PhD in history and researcher at the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).
