Luis Suarez to wear outrageous 'tattoo' boots

Luis Suarez is no stranger to shocking the world. And the Barcelona forward is ready to do that once again this weekend, wearing possibly the most outrageous boots ever made.

The former Liverpool favourite, famed for his controversial antics in the past, will exclusively sport the latest number of the adidas F50 ‘There will be haters’ collection, aptly named ‘Love/Hate’.

Fans either love the mercurial genius or hate his bad boy reputation. They may be equally divided over his choice of ‘tattoo inspired’ footwear too, which he will wear in Sunday’s 11am La Liga showdown at the Nou Camp against Rayo Vallecano.

According to the boot makers, the ostentatious design represents ‘the creativity and self-expression that only the very best players are capable of’.

Although he put Manchester City to the sword a week ago with his Champions League double, the Uruguayan is yet to emulate his prolific form from his Anfield days at Barca.

But the 28-year-old is on course to doing so, having hit four in his last four outings for the Catalan giants and will look to impress again in Wednesday's crunch Copa del Rey semi-final clash at Villarreal.

Manager Luis Enrique even shrugged of Suarez’s apparent strop after he was substituted during last week’s 3-1 win over Granada, in which the striker scored and set one up.

That behaviour will live up to the notorious-looking boots he will lace-up on Saturday.

The left and right boots feature separate motifs to express the themes of ‘love’ and ‘hate’.

The right features a menacing black skull emblem to emphasise strength, power and hatred, say the German sports giants, while the left is designed with bright colours and diverse design to symbolise Suarez’s love for the game.

The limited edition pair are guaranteed to provoke a mixed reaction. But an adidas spokesman told Sportsmail: ‘If you have "haters”, then it’s the ultimate compliment.

‘The best players - like Suarez - know that a great performance delivers "hate” from fans and opponents, particularly on social media, which then continues to fuel the confidence to deliver even greater performances. ‘They thrive off it – and they make no apology in doing so.’

So, garish or great? Let us know what you think in the comments box below... either way, Suarez - the only player in the world set to wear them - is a good bet to score in them.
