For years we’ve been told using our phones in bed is bad for our health.
Now Apple is planning to help us enjoy a quick game of Crossy Road without it affecting our sleep patterns.
A new Night Shift mode is being included in the latest version of iOS 9.3 which will tweak the iPhone’s screen to help you get some shut eye.
Studies have shown that the bright blue displays, found on phone and tablets, interfere with our circadian rhythms and make it harder to fall asleep
Night Shift uses your iOS device’s clock and geolocation to determine when it’s sunset in your location.
Then it automatically shifts the colours in your display to the warmer end of the spectrum, making it easier on your eyes.
In the morning, it returns the display to its regular settings.
Other new features landing in iOS 9.3 include:
NEW NOTES
In iOS 9.3 you can secure notes that contain your most personal data — such as financial details, medical info, or website logins — with a password or fingerprint.
You can also sort notes by date created, date modified, or alphabetically.

Apple has added a new way to find health app in iOS 9.3.
Categories such as Weight, Workouts, and Sleep have a new slider menu that reveals apps you can easily add to your Health dashboard.
The Health app also now displays your move, exercise, and stand data, as well as your goals, from Apple Watch.
