If you’re a PlayStation fan you might want to look away now.On Friday, gamers queued up in America to get their hands on Sony’s latest console – the PlayStation 4. Most raced home to start playing the $399 (£348) gaming system, but self-proclaimed ‘professional microwaver’ Kenny Irwin had entirely different plans.Mr Irwin decided instead of playing the brand new console, he was going to put his PS4 in the microwave with the intention of creating a ‘piece of art’ and selling it on eBay.What the 39-year-old actually achieved was to create a fire hazard after the highly-anticipated console caught on fire while being cooked.A video posted on YouTube shows the PS4 taking one minute 44 seconds to become engulfed in flames. If you fancy purchasing the remains, described as ‘not working’, the melted PS4 will set you back $11,151.30 (£6,922).
Having watched the clip, YouTube user rkisf90 said: ‘Not being funny but microwaving stuff isn’t art, it’s idiotic and you could have given this PS4 to a children’s hospital or something as a donation. Would of been a better use for it.’
