Maria Zakharova: Armenian government betraying their people by getting closer to Western countries

The Armenian government sacrifices its relations with Russia and other close allies for the sake of temporary bonuses from the European Union (EU) and the US, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at a briefing.

She noted that Armenia's relations with Western countries harm the interests of the Armenian people: "It is about the fact that they are not betraying us, their partners and allies, but their own people. This is what the problem is."
