Meet the world's saddest groomsman - PHOTO

For Virginia couple Danielle and Steven Turner, their wedding was likely the happiest day of their lives, but the same cannot be said for one of their groomsmen, who cut a sad figure posing for pictures solo.

Macon Barham, 24, of Lynchburg, was photographed standing behind the happy couple by his lonesome after the bridesmaid who was supposed to escort him had pulled out of the wedding party at the last minute to assume the role of the photographer. Having been ditched by his date, Bridget James, Barham decided to make the best of the situation by poking fun at his solitude. In the pictures taken on the day of the nuptials July 2012 in Dexter, New York,  the 24-year-old car insurance agent is depicted pulling sad faces with his arms hanging limply at his sides as he stands in a field surrounded by the rest of the wedding party. In another shot, a sullen-looking Barham raises his arms without much enthusiasm along with the paired-up bridesmaids and groomsmen around him. James, the owner of the Buffalo-based Bridget Rochelle Photography, explained that she decided to 'ditch' Barham after generously offering the couple to take pictures at their wedding free of charge. The former bridesmaid-turned-shutterbug had initially placed the sole unpaired groomsman, Barham, with another couple, but the composition looked odd, so she just left him to stand on his own.The hilarious photos of the forlorn wedding party member went viral this week - more than a year after the wedding - after Barham shared them on the site Reddit under the title 'Forever Alone Wedding Edition.'But readers should not feel too sorry for the sad-sack groomsman: Barham is happily married to his college sweetheart, Sarah Miller, who travelled with him to New York for the happy occasion. The 24-year-old clarified to ABC News that once he was done taking group pictures and performing his duty as a groomsman during the ceremony, his wife rejoined him for the rest of the festivities. At the time, Danielle and Steven Turner had no idea what Barham was doing behind their backs, but when they saw the wedding photos, they found his pouts and frowns hilarious. In fact, they loved their friend's sad act so much that they even hung a photo where he is seen sulking in their living room.(dailymail.co.uk)ANN.Az
