Latvia supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, Speaker of the Latvian Parliament Daiga Mieriņa said at a press conference in Baku.

She noted that the purpose of her visit is to deepen inter-parliamentary cooperation between the countries.

"In addition to the existing close cooperation between parliamentary friendship groups, we discussed the possibility of establishing closer cooperation between various committees or commissions of our parliaments. For example, in the field of education, culture, establishing the exchange of students from our countries and many other opportunities,” she said.
