And on Saturday, Miley Cyrus showed her support for the Free The Nipple campaign with a topless photo of herself. 

The 22-year-old took to Instagram to post a black and white portrait of herself laying naked in bed as she stares off in the distance.

'Some lame a** deff gonna (flag) dat (s***) but f********k it #practicewhatchupreach #FreeTheNipple #freedats***,' the We Can't Stop hitmaker captioned the promiscuous picture.

The black-and-white photo shows the pop star 'freeing the nipple' while resting on a white linen-covered mattress. 

She is also placing her left hand between her breasts while gazing at the ceiling.

Meanwhile, Miley spent Christmas apart from her beau Patrick Schwarzenegger.

And the Wrecking Ball crooner seemed to occupy most her time by sharing up a storm of selfies on Instagram.

One picture of was of the star eating a calorific holiday meal, captioned, 'f*** yeah.'

In the image, Miley is far more covered up, donning a festive red garment and green headband.

The star's boyfriend Patrick Schwarzenegger, 21, took to Instagram on Christmas as well, sharing a snap of him posing with his siblings and their mother Maria Shriver, a Kennedy descendant, in matching green pyjamas.

The model and actor, whose father of former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, captioned the image simply, saying, 'Happy Christmas!!'

The pair were first seen together this past fall but Patrick had is eye set on Miley in 2011.
