Azerbaijan shoots down another Armenian drone near Karabakh

Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry says it shot down another unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) near the breakaway region of Nagorno-Karabakh on Tuesday.
The UAV, a DJI Inspire 1, was flying over Azerbaijani army positions in Fuzuli District south of Nagorno-Karabakh, the ministry said.
Pictures of the downed vehicle were posted on the ministry website.
It was a third Armenian UAV shot down by Azerbaijani forces near Nagorno-Karabakh in just three days.
The Defense Ministry in Baku said on Saturday it downed two Armenian UAVs northeast of Nagorno-Karabakh the same day.
Armenia captured nearly one-fifth of Azerbaijan’s internationally recognized territory, including Nagorno-Karabakh and seven adjacent districts, in a war after the Soviet breakup in 1991.
While major hostilities ended with a ceasefire in 1994, no peace agreement has been signed.
Azerbaijan says it reserves the right to use military force to regain control of the territory should peace talks mediated by Russia, France and the United States fail to bring results.
