Armenia and Türkiye were able to reach mutual understanding on a number of issues, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyansaid at a hearing in parliament on the implementation of the 2023 budget, reported from Sputnik Armenia.

"The time has come to see how the agreements are being implemented on the ground,” Mirzoyan emphasized, highlighting the significance of translating diplomatic discussions into tangible actions. He further described the ongoing dialogue with Türkiye as ‘very healthy,’ indicating a positive shift in the dynamics between the two countries.

Back in December 2021, Yerevan and Ankara appointed special representatives for negotiations on normalization.

In July 2022, an agreement was reached in Vienna to ensure the possibility of crossing the Armenian-Turkish land border by citizens of third countries visiting Armenia and Türkiye, respectively, as well as the implementation of direct air transportation of goods and the launch of the necessary processes for this.

However, the issue has not yet been resolved. Also, in January 2023, Ankara informed Yerevan that the ban on direct air cargo transportation had been lifted.
