At least that's what they say about this freaky creature, which was captured in the wild by a band of remote fishermen.
Footage uploaded online to LiveLeak shows the incredible catch being lugged through an isolated village – and it takes two men to carry.
According to a caption uploaded with the video, the fish is an unusually large peacock bass, called the tucunaré by locals.
The underwater beast was pulled out of a river in Brazil, reportedly only using primitive tools.
It appears to dwarf even the largest specimens of the species caught so far, with most others needing just one person to lift.
The video's description states: "In Brazil, in some remote areas, we still have great examples of how it was when the creatures ruled the earth without any interference of man."
Such is the size of the fish that many have cast doubt on whether it actually is a peacock bass, with a grouper named as the most likely alternative.
Yet its not the first time an unexplained creature has been discovered in the depths of South America.
