The cause of most divorces in Azerbaijan is Facebook, SMS messages and other social networks, Hadi Rajabli, MP, chairman of the parliament’s Labor and Social Policy Committee said on Wednesday, APA reports.

The MP also pointed to a decrease in the number of births in the country.

"If there were in average five children in families before, now this figure has dropped to two,” he said.

Rajabli opposed the creation of an alimony fund in Azerbaijan.

"There may be complications if we go to this. Therefore, we have to consider another option," he added.
