Last day of winter was marked by personal exhibition of the Deserved Artist of Azerbaijan Museyib Amirov called " two states ", which opened in the gallery «YAY» of the Spaces of Contemporary Art «YARAT!».
It was not yet seven o'clock , but the guests were already in anticipation of the opening event on the forecourt of the gallery . No sooner had the door opened to employees , as all the participants headed to consider pictures. In the lobby everyone could take a booklet with pictures by Amirov and sheets with his biography written in English . On one of the walls of the gallery was hung a banner, which told about the artist.
Guests studied all the corners of the gallery, climbed the stairs to the upper floors . Among them were the famous Azerbaijani artists , directors metropolitan galleries , artists and art connoisseurs , who could not miss the opportunity to see the work by Museyib Amirov who participates in exhibitions worldwide. Interestingly, the visitors were not left unattended on the third floor of the gallery, which consists of a viewing platform and a stunning view of the night Baku. Cameras flashed incessantly this evening. In the midst of the event were so many people that it was impossible to approach the paintings , from which the visitors did not depart. But this factor was a clear demonstration of the great interest in the work by Museyib Amirov, the exhibition of which was quite full.
It is worth noting that the paintings of the painter in the evening began to be sold from the very first minutes of the opening event. Workers adhered to the gallery signboard hanging beside paintings a sheet labeled " Sales ".
The painter's paintings are very interesting, which differ not only originality of the images , characters, and original image at first glance seemingly ordinary things , but also their size. After all, some work has been more than two meters. Amirov, who is engaged in painting and drawing, is as if woven of paradoxes. He manages to reconcile us with the need to live simultaneously in the past and the future, regretting and rejoicing , remembering and hoping . The artist harbors hope to make a giant iron bird , which will be able to raise dreamers like him into the sky over Apsheron. And they will be able to enjoy the magnificent views of the peninsula with the bird's-eye view. Each work by the artist is of special interest . Personally, my attention was attracted by such pictures as "The road leading to the sea ", "Pirshagi ", "Dialogue with butterfly ", " Childhood memories ", " Absheron" , "Night of the Caspian Sea", "Women and Time," "The Flying Dutchman," "My City," "Black City", "Before submission," etc.
The event was also attended by the Rector of the Baku branch of Moscow State University ( MSU) University, Doctor of Philology, Professor Nargiz Pashayeva, who together with the artist considered his paintings , listening Amirov's comments about his work. Pashaeva's appearance could not go unnoticed . TV reporters and photographers who gathered this evening a lot , did not miss the opportunity to make some good shots.
Among the famous guests of the event proved an Azerbaijani comedian , director, member of the team of KVN (Club of Merry and Smart) "Guys from Baku ", member of the Union of Cinematographers of Azerbaijan and the Cartoonists Association, Bahram Bagirzade, who noted the original style of works by Museyib Amirov , and stressed the talent possessed by the artist . "He has very interesting works. Each of them represents the whole composition. I liked the picture of "My City" , written with acrylic on canvas," Bagirzade shared his opinion.
A famous Azerbaijani photographer and editor of "Art," Rustam Huseynov, who was among the guests at the event, in an interview with ANN.Az talked about the features of Museyib Amirov's creativity.
" Museyib Amirov is one of the most interesting artists of Azerbaijan at the present stage . What is interesting to me is his work . He owns national colors and a special unique style . Paintings by Amirov can be easily distinguished among a dozen other paintings of similar subjects . Thanks to the original style, his work is a very interesting element of artistic creativity. In each work the artist felt national coloring, which is reflected, whether in oil or social themes, or some artistic imagination . In all this there is a piece of work , thanks to which it is immediately clear what country the artist wrote this picture about. I do not advocate cosmopolitan creativity, creativity of so-called faceless globalization trends when exhibited works can be identified for almost any country in the world. On the contrary , I am a supporter of the work that at least partially displays the flavor of the country and features carried by the artist. First, it is very important to determine the level of individual masters . Secondly, it brings a particle of the national culture to the world creativity that is very important. Through such artists Azerbaijani values are visually apparent to other nations and the artists who express themselves in art. Thus, the achievements of our culture are available for people in the arts of other countries," Huseynov said.
When guests diminished, I decided to talk to the culprit of the celebration, which was the center of attention throughout the evening. In an interview with ANN.Az Museyib Amirov noted that in general the picture is written over the years. "The creation of a single painting can take a month, a year, two or more. It is very long and complicated process . There was a whole series of works , of which we chose the paintings for this exhibition and held a small dropout, because all the pictures cannot be included in the exhibition. We choose something, something remains , something not. For example, the painting "The Flying Dutchman" was launched six years ago . Recent works are mostly graphics, made in charcoal. In general , the exhibition presents 11 paintings and 6 sheets of graphics," said Amirov .
M.Amirov was born in Baku in 1963 and he is the son of the renowned artist Arif Amirov. Today he is an independent master of the brush , whose works are exhibited in the United States , France, Germany , Lithuania, are found in many museums and private collections around the world.
