NATO Sec.-Gen. calls for increased military assistance to Ukraine

NATO partner countries must change the dynamics of support for Ukraine, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg told journalists before the start of the meeting of the foreign ministers of the North Atlantic Alliance.

According to the secretary-general, in recent days the Kremlin has launched new major attacks on the civilian population and infrastructure of Ukraine, and Russia continues to apply pressure on the front lines.

At the same time, assistance should not be on a voluntary, but a mandatory basis, he added.

He stressed that NATO wants to play a greater role in coordinating and planning military assistance to Ukraine.
