According to Pashinyan, an agreement on cooperation in the field of mass telecommunications was signed between Armenia and Russia in December 2020: "That document regulates the broadcasting of Russian channels in Armenia and Armenian channels in Russia. It clearly states that TV channels should not attempt to interfere in the internal affairs of the country or destabilize the country. Our state bodies, including the Television and Radio Commission and the Ministry of High-Tech Industry, found certain problems in this field. In our opinion, this agreement has been violated in recent months.
The Prime Minister noted that Armenia invited the other party to consultations, taking into account the friendly relations between the two countries: "I hope that these consultations will take place as soon as possible to solve the problem in a normal, friendly environment.”
