Oil prices fall after 2 days of growth

Global oil prices fell on April 13 morning after a two-day increase, reported from the auction data.

The price of June futures for Brent crude fell by 0.38% to $87 per barrel, May futures for WTI decreased by 0.32% to $82.99.

Oil has been rising in price in the previous two days. The price of Brent rose by 3.59%, WTI grew by 4.36%.

Markets are evaluating data from the US Department of Energy on oil reserves in the country. Commercial oil reserves in the US (excluding the strategic reserve) for the week ended April 7 increased by 0.6 million barrels (0.1%) to 470.5 million barrels. Analysts, on the contrary, expected a decrease in stocks by 0.6 million barrels.

At the same time, strategic oil reserves in the US fell by 1.6 million barrels over the week, to 369.6 million barrels, the lowest since November 1983.
