New airports in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan create an opportunity for the development of tourism, Orkhan Mammadov, Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency under the Ministry of Economy, said at the event "Tourism Business: Current Situation and Prospects" held at Baku SME House.

"Currently, Fuzuli and Zangilan international airports are in use. Lachin Airport is expected to open at the end of this year or at the beginning of next year. This creates opportunities for the development of tourism in those regions. I believe that for the development of tourism in Karabakh, SMBDA, the State Tourism Agency, and associations should continue close cooperation. As SMBDA, we are always with entrepreneurs and ready to provide them with all kinds of support," Mammadov said.
